    Coggeshall Farm Museum

    Experience life on a 1790s salt marsh farm at this living history museum. Coggeshall Farm Museum features farm animals, demonstrations, an heirloom garden, various outbuildings including a blacksmith shop and special events. The museum is located next to Colt State Park, and is open year round, but hours vary depending on the season.

    The Audubon Environmental Education Center

    Situated at the McIntosh Wildlife Refuge, this natural history museum and aquarium unlocks the fascinating world of nature through a series of interactive exhibits. Among the many features, visitors can get an inside peek at a life-size Right Whale, observe local marine life and explore a cornfield at night. The Environmental Education Center features a quarter mile-boardwalk through fresh and saltwater marshes to Narragansett Bay, and offers guided tours, nature walks and family programs.

    Linden Place

    This mansion, circa 1810, was built for General George DeWolf (designed by Russell Warren). The landscaped grounds feature a variety of sculptures. Linden House is considered a centerpiece for the town of Bristol.

    Blithewold Mansion, Gardens and Arboretum

    Situated on Bristol Harbor overlooking Narragansett Bay, the mansion and grounds cover 33 acres. The mansion itself boasts 45 rooms, and is actually the second mansion built on this site, as the first burned down in 1906. Many of the furnishings date back to the original home which was built in 1896. The gardens and grounds are remarkable, and offer incredible views of the bay.

    Bristol County Statehouse/Courthouse

    Built in 1816, the Bristol County Statehouse/Courthouse was host to meetings of the Rhode Island House of Representatives and Senate until 1854. The building was then used as the seat of the Bristol County Court until the 1980s. Now in the care of the Bristol Statehouse Foundation, the restored Bristol County Statehouse preserves and celebrates the heritage of the community, state and country through exhibits, lectures and various events.
