Established in 1945, the Preservation Society of Newport County has been ensuring that many of Newport's historic mansions are maintained and preserved. Eleven properties, including Marble House, Chateau-sur-Mer and the Breakers, are under the watch of the society. Tours of the premises are available throughout the year and the society also hosts seasonal events at the properties.
