The Newport Bridge/Claiborne Pell Bridge
Traversing the east passage of Narragansett Bay between Jameston (Conanicut Island) and Newport (Aquidneck Island), the Claiborne Pell Bridge is the largest suspension bridge in New England. Built between 1966 and 1969, the four-lane bridge's total length spans 11,248 ft (3,428 m).
