    Point Judith Light

    This station was established in 1810 and the existing lighthouse was built in 1857. Other buildings are still standing including an oil house, a fog signal building and a radio beacon building - all were built in the early 1900s. The grounds are open to the public during the day.

    Sakonnet Point Light

    Although this lighthouse is not accessible to the public, it can be seen visibly from the Sakonnet Point beach. Sakonnet Point Light was established in 1884, and it still operates today.

    Watch Hill Light

    The grounds and lighthouse building have been beautifully maintained over the years. The lighthouse was built in 1856, and it stands 46 feet tall. A lightkeeper's house, an oil house, a garage and a fog signal building are all still standing. Some of the buildings are open during the summer months. Inquire locally for further information.

    Warwick Neck Lighthouse
    The Warwick Neck Lighthouse was built in 1827 and is located at the bottom of Warwick Neck. Still operational today, this traditional lighthouse once stood 75 ft (23 m) closer to the water, but was moved back after its foundation was damaged by a hurricane in 1938. The lighthouse is currently operated by the Coast Guard and is not open to the public.

    Prudence Island Light

    This lighthouse is accessible by ferry from Bristol, and is within walking distance from the ferry landing. The Prudence Island lighthouse tower is not open to the public.

    Poplar Point

    This lighthouse was built in 1831 and was discontinued in 1882. Poplar Lighthouse stands 48 feet and is best viewed from the water - it is not open to the public.

    Block Island North Light

    The North Light station was established in 1829 and is made from granite and iron. The tower stands 55 feet high and features a museum on the first floor. Tours of the lighthouse are available. The lighthouse itself is located 20 minutes from the parking lot. The tower is not open to the public.

    Newport Harbor Light

    The Newport Harbor Lighthouse grounds are open to the public, and the lighthouse dates back to 1842.

    Rose Island Lighthouse

    Located on 18.5 acres, the lighthouse is owned by the City of Newport. During the World Wars it was used as a Navy Torpedo Station. The lighthouse has not been used since 1970 when the new Pell Newport bridge was built. The property of the lighthouse can be visited year round, with overnights at the lighthouse.

    Bristol Ferry Light

    This lighthouse is not open to the public, as it is a private residence. An oil house still stands on the sight. It is best seen from the bridge.

    Hog Island Shoal Light

    Hog Island Shoal Light is located in the bay, and is seen only by boat. The present lighthouse was built in 1901 and is made of cast iron. It flashes every six seconds and blasts a fog signal every 30 seconds.

    Conimicut Lighthouse
    Located offshore from Conimicut Point Park, the Conimicut Lighthouse was built in 1868 to help boats navigate the dangerous, rocky waters between Rocky Point and Bristol. Currently operated by the Coast Guard, the tower is 58 ft (17.7 m) high and the light flashes every 2.5 seconds. The lighthouse is inaccessible to the public, but is best viewed from Conimicut Point Park.

    Beavertail Light

    Situated in Beavertail Park on Conanicut Island, the grounds of this lighthouse are open to the public and it also offers a museum in the assistant keeper's house. This lighthouse station was established in 1749, and the current building was erected in 1856. It is the third oldest lighthouse in the United States.

    Block Island Southeast Light

    This remarkable lighthouse, built in 1875, has been declared an endangered structure of historic significance, and has been moved almost 300 feet to protect it from the shore, crumbling from erosion. The lighthouse is open for tours in the summer, and it also features a small museum and giftshop.

    Lime Rock Light

    This former lighthouse building is now the Ida Lewis Yacht Club. The 1856 lightkeeper's house is still standing and the lighthouse (circa 1854) itself can be seen well from one of the many Newport harbor cruises.
