Now a peaceful residential neighborhood with tree-lined streets and many historic homes, Pawtuxet Village was the launch site of the 1772 attack on the British schooner, the Gaspee, and also played a role in the Dorr Rebellion of 1842.

Apponaug Village is a historic part of downtown Warwick that was originally settled in 1696 and is today home to the Warwick City Hall, Warwick Museum and many historic buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries. Apponaug was designated a Historic District in 1993.

Located on Potowomut Peninsula, Potowomut is an attractive district featuring a mix of old and new homes along narrow streets that overlook Greenwich Bay. The land was purchased from the local First Nations people in 1654, and worked as a cattle farm by the Greene family. Revolutionary War hero, Nathaniel Greene, was born here in 1742.
