Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Babcock-Smith House was built in 1734. It boasts an interesting history. The house was first built for Dr. Joshua Babcock (the first physician in Westerly),before becoming the postmaster's residence and the Orlando Smith estate. The house still features much of its 18th century design.
